BackHome Assist was founded by Nana Dontoh, a Ghanaian professional living in the United Kingdom who understands first-hand the challenges of managing responsibilities back home while living abroad.
Whether it is checking on a building project, following up on documents, verifying work, or making sure family members are doing well, distance can make simple tasks feel difficult.
Meet Nana Dontoh
Like many people in the diaspora, I have spent years trying to coordinate important matters in Ghana from thousands of miles away. I know what it feels like to rely on phone calls, messages, and second-hand information when what you really need is someone you can trust on the ground.
You may be asking: Was the work actually completed? Were the materials purchased as agreed? Did someone really visit the property? Is my relative genuinely okay? These are real concerns for people living abroad.
I realised there was a growing need for a professional and trustworthy service that could provide reliable information, practical support, and peace of mind when people cannot be physically present.
That idea became BackHome Assist.
